street, closer to Penn Ave, in front of in front of the CVS located at 1901 Pennsylvania Ave Washington DC. If you DO NOT stand in the correct spot with
your sign, you will be over looked by drivers thinking you are either
waiting for the METRO bus or a van pool.

Drivers pick up heading South on 19th Street because it is
one way. This line is a great way out of the city and enables you to avoid the
14th street traffic. If there aren’t any slugs here,
you can try 14th and Constitution or travel on to the Pentagon rather than
backtrack to 14th and New York.
