Note: an alternative is to use
the Gambrill Road Park and Ride which has 225 spaces. Although there is NOT
a slug line at this location it would be great to start one here. This
commuter lot is located at 7321 Gambrill Road. It is near the
intersection of Gambrill Road and Hooes Road near the Fairfax County
Parkway.
Location: Springfield, near the intersection of Gambrill Road (Hwy 640)
and Fairfax County Parkway (Hwy 7100), across the street from the Mobil station.

Driving Directions
Description: Slugs stand in one of two lines, but both go to the
Pentagon. Line #1 is on the north side of the station on the access road next to
the bus stop. However, the line has started to shift to the east side of the
station across the street and next to the dirt parking area. If drivers come
from the west, they pick up from #1 on the road or pull into the Mobil station
if traffic is heavy. Drivers coming from the south will pick up from #2 or pull
into the station for slugs in #1.
Drivers: If driving in from the west, you may find slugs in line #1. If
not, you will have to go to line #2; both lines go to the Pentagon.
Parking: Limited curb parking. Park on shoulder of Gambrill and Hooes
Road (125 spaces). There is a small dirt parking area and the spaces fill very
fast.
