Potomac Mills Plans to Reduce Commuter Parking

Article Line Break
Potomac Mills Reduces Slug Parking - An announcement was made on January 13th that the commuter parking at Potomac Mills will be reduced from 1000 spaces to 250 spaces. Changes are to take effect on February 14th, 2011. This will have a major impact to those slugging out of this commuter lot. In all fairness to Potomac Mills, they were only required to provide 250 space but have provided well over that amount for many years. Prince William County is working on alternative locations to accomodate the 750 displaced commuters.

Slugs asked to Vote on Splitting Horner Road Line

Article Line Break
Last month an effort was made by some slugs to split the 14th St and Navy Yard/L'Enfant slug line at Horner Road. There were mixed feelings on the split which resulted in recombining the slug-line back to a single line.  The suggestion has been made to put the decision to split to a vote.  A fellow slugger came up with the idea to conduct an "e-vote".  There has been an e-vite set up to be sent out to all riders and drivers.  By submitting an e-mail address (real or one made up just for this vote) to hornerroaddecision@yahoo.com you will eligible to cast a vote.  Once the voting has finished and the decision made, this e-mail account will be closed.

The benefit of an e-vite is that the entire process will be transparent.  You will be able to see the current count by simply logging into e-vite.  That being said you may have to set up an e-vite account (free).  All of this will be in the e-vite e-mail you receive.  The next step is for you to e-mail the address above to request an e-vite be sent to you. Voting will close February 4, 2011 at 11:59 PM
