Has anyone else noticed the increase in hybrids with the "CY" plates infiltrating the 95 HOV lanes? There is also an increase of hybrids with regular plates. I knew it wouldn't be long before they started to skirt the law.
I passed, for a third time this month, a 2003 Honda Civic hybrid with only 2 riders that had the blue CY plates. I honked 3 times and held up 3 fingers to let them know they were illegal. If one is gonna make the effort to pay the extra $10 for the hybrid plates, one would be aware what the laws are, right? Yesterday a woman with a breast cancer plate in a silver Camry hybrid is chugging along. Wonder who conned her into thinking she can ride solo in the HOV lanes just because she has a hybrid?
Where's the enforcement when you need it? Since there's none, I would suggest that when we see one of these illegals in the 95 HOV lanes that we honk 3 times and hold up 3 fingers (albeit, I prefer to hold up just one ) |

It would make FAR more sense if you ranted against ALL cheaters - hybrid cheaters make up less than 5% of the total cheaters. Or is it that you really don't mind all of the other cheaters and only the hybrid cheaters? |

Actually, what would make FAR more sense is if you would leave this board and go trolling somewhere else. No dead horses to beat here. |

So, RR, does that mean you favor non-hybrid cheaters? It would appear so... |

And yet, you don't deny it. 'Nuff said. |

If they do get pulled over, they probably just get a warning anyway... That's apparently been standard practice since VA modified their "clean fuel" rule to allow hybrids. |
