Hi, there is a Woodbridge-Tysons Corner bus route, which is being eliminated by PRTC in November 2014. Those of us who ride the bus and have contacted PRTC and our delegates for a hearing received responses that basically mean it's a done deal - the bus route is going to stop. (When you receive a reply from PRTC and your delegate that says accepting these changes is the "responsible thing to do" even though PRTC's website says it is a "proposed" elimination and we can ask for a hearing, it's clear we need to start looking at carpooling and start a slug line to Tysons Corner.)
I started this discussion thread for ideas where a good pick up and drop off would be. I read from this slug lines website that the best location(s) would be one where it's on or near a commuter lot and public transportation so that a rider is not stuck if he/she is not picked up by the slug line.
Important: PRTC Public Hearing is scheduled tonight at 7 p.m. at the PRTC Transit Center. The address is 14700 Potomac Mills Rd., Woodbridge, VA (per PRTC's announcement in their website).
