I found this to explain the HOT lanes very good. Notice the cars changing lanes in video.. no signals and one goes from extreme left to extreme right.. so typical!

Switchable EZ pass? That's crap. I forsee a lot of "Oh sorry Trooper I forgot to switch it back to HOT". Poor slug drivers who forget to switch it HOV3 will wind up paying. Guess the contractor and state will make out on that one.

Not to mention all the out of state drivers and Southern Virginia drivers who don't actually know about the HOT lane rules and don't own an Easy Pass. They're used to using the lanes on weekends and none HOV hours to make better time. They probably have no idea that is all going away!

I like how they show the Trooper pulled over on the shoulder.

I'd like to see what shoulder they're going to have the trooper on.

There isn't room to put a car in the shoulder with clear room to open the door. The troopers won't be pulling ANYONE over.
