Info seen in someone's "Morning Slug Lines" posting today ....
7:25 this morning -- plenty of parking, no cars in line to pick up riders, and slugs in line at new Gambrill lot. Same time, three blocks away at Sydenstricker ... several cars parked illegally, no slugs in line, and drivers waiting for slugs. Obvious need for some driver/slug harmonization at the new lot. Keep on sluggin'! [:)] |

Drivers still line up at Horner until 9AM despite the parking lot being full around 7AM. Nothing new here ;)

And while the drivers fume at Horner at 9:00, slugs stand unattended at Potomac Mills.

If there are drivers still lining up at horner road lot waiting for slugs at 0900 - theyre fools, since HOV restrictions end at 0900. I also always wonder why there are slugs waiting in a line at 0500-0530 at tacketts mill lot also. Rarely are drivers going to bother to get slugs until about quarter till 6.

I imagine the drivers are waiting in line so they can be the first onto the HOV lanes when they open.

I have actually been picked up for 18th St. at Horner at 9:05. Some people have pity on you. Or, if you're nice, one of the other slugs will give up waiting and will give everybody a lift in to town. I should have said that drivers fume at Horner at 8:00 since the lot is full by then.
Hopefully we'll be using the old bus parking lot as the late lot, though I would dread crossing Telegraph after 5:00 p.m. in December. |

Some drivers actually come by lots because slugs are there waiting. I've caught rides from the Pentagon at 6:15 p.m. just because the driver suspects someone is waiting. These are the types who over over and beyond their call of duty.

How can we start up this lot up?
Also, for anyone that uses the pentagon to slug, is there any way to request that we split up the springfield/burke slug line?? There were 44 ridrs in line at the pentagon yesterday for spring/burke, its getting crazy. |
