I am new to the area and heard about slugging, I am a bit hesitant. I am starting a new job in Alexandria (Montgomery St) on 10/6, my hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm. Are there any slug lines to alexandria? Would love to speak to someone that has done this before.

The morning slug lines tend to take riders to major work centers or street intersections near Metro stations or within walking distance of work locations (like the Pentagon, 14th Street, 18th Street, Rosslyn, etc.). It appears that Montgomery Street in Alexandria is south of Crystal City near the Braddock Road Metrorail station on the blue/yellow lines.
Your best bet would be to slug to the Pentagon or Crystal City and take the Metrorail south to the Braddock Road station. From there you will need to walk or take a bus to your office. You might also try to find or form a carpool to that location. |
