For those who plan to slug (or drive with slugs) on Thursday: VDOT website shows Veterans Day is a holiday with no HOV restricted hours.
From http://www.virginiadot.org/travel/hov-rulesfaq.asp: 2010 Holiday HOV Schedule HOV restrictions are lifted in Hampton Roads and Northern Virginia on the following federal holidays during 2010: Friday, January, 1 - New Year’s Day Monday, January 18 - Martin Luther King Monday, February 15 - President’s Day Monday, May 31 - Memorial Day Monday, July 5 - Independence Day (observed) Monday, September 6 - Labor Day Monday, October 11 - Columbus Day Thursday, November 11 - Veterans Day Thursday, November 25 - Thanksgiving Friday, December 24 - Christmas (observed) |
