So I want to start an effort with all my fellow drivers to Boycott Blackberry.
If you haven't seen there is a Blackberry advertising bus that is picking up 18-20 slugs going from L'Enfant to Bob's and Rolling Valley. The bus comes in right around 5 pm and sucks up a significant number of slugs. As I was sitting BEHIND this bus yesterday watching it fill up with slugs that I and the cars behind me needed i was filled with frustration.
There is only one was to make them pay. Boycott Blackberry. In fact, I am committing to that personally and would urge all my other slug drivers to join me in an act of solidarity.
In addition, I am writing nasty notes to Research in Motion the maker of blackberry.
You can do this by emailing help@rim.com or investor_relations@rim.com.
Let's band together and tell Blackberry that stealing our slugs and disrupting our commute isn't an acceptable marketing technique.

Oh, and I forgot to add a plea to all the riders. Don't support this effort unless it is like 15 min to 6.
This is a shared system and if we drivers have to sit and watch 15 slugs get on a bus WHILE WE ARE WAITING!!! you can really make a case that maybe we should go elsewhere.

They should bring that bus down to the Pentagon at about 3:00 to 3:15

The bus was at the Pentagon about 5:30 on Tues. Picking up for Rolling Valley. It looked they got a few riders, but not a lot.
Anybody know why they are doing this? Is this a promotional stunt?

Because one fifteen passenger vehicle results in a total of six more single passenger vehicles on the road... (Assuming all following drivers are single occupant vehicles.)
These six single passenger vehicles will clog up the main lanes rather than move along in the HOV lanes.
If the bus picked up the required two occupants, six vehicles would not be clogging up the main lanes which would result in slightly less traffic and delay out there. Repeat and we'd have significantly less traffic on the roads.

This is a complete promotional plan. They are expoliting the slug lines to do a sales pitch on the drive. The most offensive thing about this is their complete disregard for the slug rules.
Again, if slugs dont get on the bus they will stop.
In other news, I am pleased to report that I have successfully convinced my employer to drop blackberry as our office service as a result of this travesty.
One down, now we just need to get some more.
