Hello,

Does anyone know if the commuter buses are free today leavin from DC due to the heat index?

This morning I heard they were not, which really suprised the news desk people but they thought it might change later in the day.

I just don't know if they have adjusted it yet.

Here's a response from PRTC:

The free rides were part of a government program, as the fares were paid
by the program. It's not longer active, so despite the expected heat
today fares will still be charged on all of our routes.
