Well, so far so good. I'm on the line fairly early so I walked past the old location to make sure no cars were lining up there. It was deserted so I proceeded over to the new line. Everybody was there and the cars were coming. I'm going to carry the fliers with me for a couple of weeks for distribution to the drivers who give me a ride in the morning, just to make sure they know about the PM line.
I think the new location will work out fine. Anybody else have any comments?

I got to the new line around 4:50pm. It was backed up all around the corner. There was a metro bus 3 cars behind me and the driver actually got out and walked down the street to see what the back up is (I can see him complaining and ruing the new line now) It took me about 10 minutes to actually get up to the Potomac Mills/Horner/Tacketts line. There was also a taxi parked there in the no parking zone with his trunk up and was there for the whole entire time. He make the situation even worse. Because of the backup no 610 drivers could come down to the 610/Stafford line, so the riders had to walk the line.
I think if Arlington County got rid of ALL of the parking meters on that back street, made the Metro busses choose a different route and monitors the taxies things might be a bit smoother. I will keep trying this line for the rest of the week and if it doesn't improve, I will be going back to the Pentagon until Rossyln works out the kinks.

Hmmm. Was there something going on other than not enough riders for Potomac/Horner/Tacketts causing cars to back up? Remember that the back-up existed at the old location and was, in fact, the primary reason the line had to be moved, so I'm not hearing that there was any problem related to the new location (or I might be missing something). The bit about the bus is disturbing though. I hope we don't interfere with a bus route, because could prove a show-stopper. I suppose that time will tell.
