For those few of you who are still following the Toll Road thing...

Look at E-470 around Denver...

Here is a Happy Happy article in the Denver Post from 2002... http://www.bizjournals.com/denver/stories/2002/12/16/story1.html?page=1
please note on page 5... '"We didn't want to lose the project, so that meant [Washington Group] had to finance it. I don't think anyone had done that before," said Jim Carroll, then the chief salesman for the contractor and now executive director of transportation sales for Fluor Corp., another international construction firm.'

And then read this little thing http://www.unbossed.com/index.UBRoadsScholars.php/UBRoadsScholars.php?itemid=353
about the numerous unbelievable non-compete clauses built into E470, such as how they lowered the speed limit on a nearby road from 55 to 40 so drivers would switch to the toll road (which was $12/day back in 2002.)

What we got ourselves here is a Red State mentality telling our Blue State counties what to do.
