To those of you like myself who were disappointed that the L'Enfant to Route 17 sputtered out right out of the start gate, I have established a solution. There is a yahoo group site that I set up for us all to join... http://groups.yahoo.com/group/RT17_LEnfant_Plaza_Slugs/
Go there and request to join...I'm the group moderator and will be granting memberships. I do this only because wise acres like to post endless streams of bogus messages leading unsuspecting folks to porn sites, so to prevent that, I determined that screened membership will be required. Don't worry -- I won't be picky like a bouncer from Studio 54.
This group page will enable members to post messages to the rest of the group community as to when they would be available to pick-up or be picked up for a slug ride home near L'Enfant. I think this may very well be a more efficient way to get an afternoon L'Enfant to Route 17 line established instead of trying to revive the old site.
Again, please spread the word!

Um...HELLO! So far we've only got four people at this page signed up including myself. All I ever hear about at Route 17 in the a.m. is how everybody wishes that there was an afternoon pickup near L'Enfant as an alternative to the Pentagon, but after a failed attempt to get the afternoon line going, and now setting up a yahoo group to help drivers and riders coordinate rides home to apparently no avail, please don't ever complain in my presence. The message strings have had more than enough hits so I know you're all out there! If the group page doesn't grow significantly by October 31, I'm pulling the plug on it...just giving fair notice.
