The situation on this board is out of control. Trolls, who have never even slugged a day in their life, come along and post messages just to laugh from getting a rise out of people. This manipulation must stop! The people on this board get hot and bothered and reply to just about anything.
In fact, if you do a search on the word troll, some posters have admitted three different times that they are just a troll, yet people keep responding.
No doubt about it, we need an active moderator. The fact that I'm still posting is an outrage.

This board is run as is should be and similar to the way slugging itself is run, and that is by allowing the people to moderate themselves...

I really wish I could agree with you, but look at the situation. You have a poster who will not disclose who he is claiming to have a letter with what could be important information faking yet another log-in to attack a community advocate who proves the fraud of the post.
Then, the party claiming to have the bogus letter pleads that we need a monitor, to do what, prevent more bogus material on the board?
Wait! What did I just say?

And not only that, but then we have RobertLangDirect posting as "Undisclosed-Email."
Perhaps RLD forgot that he was outed as also posting under "Undisclosed-email" when he accidentally used that screen name but quoted a message which I sent only to RLD:

Undi - unfortunately, this board probably became more than it was intended. For more than a few years, it was (and continues to be) an outlet for hybrid exemption bashing. Then, the Wash Post used the postings as a source for a story following VDOT's report last year. When a message board becomes a political device, is it any wonder that there should then be debate on it?
Yes, there are people who would prefer to have no alternate opinions from their own, and yes, in America we should be tolerant of them. Should that include you?
