Friday's can be slower than other days, slug lines vary, so you may want to be a bit more specific...

Slug-lines run on Fridays after 5:30pm as long as there are drivers willing to pick up slugs.

The best place to get picked up after 5:30 (or some times even after 6pm) is the Pentagon. If it's after 6pm, slugs usually stand on the curb closest to the entrance of the HOV lanes with signs in their hands as to where they are going. Driver's have a 3 way stop sign and will sometimes take sympathy on these riders even if the HOV is open to everyone. (I've done this 3 times and have always gotten a ride.) Hope this helps.

Yes, I've tried this on a Friday (only once) but I got a ride. :)
