   Subject: CONSTRUCTION AT 3rd Street Gate.

	GSA has sold the property accessed through the SEFC 3rd Street gate. This will be the HQ for US DOT. The new owner is starting excavation and is currently mobilizing equipment. The gate is sometimes closed but unlocked as the construction crews visit the site.

	The project manager reports it appears some Navy Yard employees are pushing open the gate to cut through the property from the METRO to the Navy Yard.

	This is not a public path. It is privately owned. It is a construction site and will not be safe for pedestrians.Please advise our members and employees to remain clear of the site.

	It is unsafe to enter that property.
