Morning slug line - Mine Rd to Navy Yard

   I am going to try to slug from Mine Rd to the Navy Yard. Does anyone have any ideas if people pick up slugs to the Yard, or is my best bet to slug to the Pentagon?  Also, I take a van right now at 4:30 pm home, and I have never seen anyone slugging from the shelters by the USS Barry. Again, is it better to metro to the Pentagon for a ride home? Any info appreciated, this will be my first time slugging. Somewhat leary about the process, but would like to give it a try.
