This is the first part of a two part message.
Once there was a very religious man that lived in the valley. The weather forecast was for heavy rains and possible flooding. The religious man's neighbor came by and offered the man a ride to higher ground. He knew that the religious man did not believe in cars. The religious man declined the generous offer stating that he trusted the Lord would take care of him. Later, when the rains came and the water rose to the level of the front porch, a Fish and Game Officer came by in a row boat and offered to take the religious man to higher ground. The religious man declined saying that he trusted the Lord would take care of him. Later, when the water had risen to the point of almost covering the roof of the house, a CHP helicopter came by and offered to take the religious man to safety. The man declined, declaring that the Lord would provide. Well, the water rose even more and the man drowned. When he got to heaven, he asked the Lord why the Lord had not saved him. The Lord said "I sent you three chances." To be continued. dickboyd@aol.com |
