	The following is for all VRE riders:

	At 6:43am this morning,  Train 304 on the Fredericksburg line left the tracks at Possum Point, just north of the Quantico Bridge.  The engine and last three cars reportedly derailed.  EMS arrived on the scene at 6:59am and reported four injuries who have ball been transported to local hospitals.  The extent of these injuries is not yet known.  There were approximately 400 passengers on the train.

	NTSB, CSX, Amtrak and VRE personnel are all on the scene. Additionally, CSX is sending a group of investigators from Jacksonville, Florida which should arrive later today.

	We are currently making arrangements to transport passengers on VRE trains. No train service, including Amtrak,  is moving north at this time. VRE passengers should find alternate transportation. Information on this afternoon� s commute will be communicated as soon as we have more information.
