New D.C. 'circulator' transit system starts in July Jeff Clabaugh Staff Reporter The Downtown D.C. Circulator bus service will start service July 10, connecting Union Station to Georgetown via K Street NW, and the Southwest Waterfront to the convention center via Seventh Street NW. The District Department of Transportation, which owns the fleet of 29 new Belgian-made, tourist-style busses, says both routes will operate from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week. The service is aimed at both downtown commuters and tourists. < The group says it is aiming for annual ridership of 4.6 million people when the bus system is fully implemented in 2008.
