I usually slug or drive from 610/Crystal City. However, I moved and would now like to start using Rt. 17. The thing is, I never see anybody standing in line waiting for Rt. 17 in the afternoon. If I am a passenger that day, I don't want to not get picked up (and I would like to avoid the Pentagon). Is there any hope for me? Is there anyone else that works in CC that can shed some light on this??

I can only say from my own experience that there are very few people who slug from Rt. 17 to CC, so a line separate from the one at the Pentagon probably could not exist on its own. Your best bet would be to find slug drivers and riders going to CC and try to meet up at the same time in the a.m. and p.m. if you want to avoid the Pentagon.
