BE ON THE ALERT! Friday morning at Horner Road, a cop was telling the drivers that they could not "block" the right lane; he did not stop me from slugging, but he was trying to keep the traffic flowing (in order to prevent the line backing up onto Telegraph Road. This is pertaining to the 14th street, 18th street, Navy Yard, and L'Enfant slug line only).
The cops were very pleasant about it but WE ALL will need to reconfigure the slug line to prevent issues. I think if we duplicate the Pentagon, Rosslyn, Springfield slug lines (in the parking lot isles themselves) we will be able to make it un-obtrusive and maybe even more efficient. Just got off the phone with the PWC Police. They said they were there because the buses were being blocked and that the bus drivers were complaining. I assume the buses come in at the Telegraph road entrance. They said they will be back often to allow the buses smoother flow. They said they were also well aware of the illegal parking issue.

It sounds like getting the lines split is more of a priority now. We simply cannot have people and cars wandering around the parking lots looking for ride(r)s. Imagine if people were hurt..then the whole system, at least at Horner, could be jeopardized.
