I am a new driver and would like to take Sluggers. I leave from Springfield and go to DC (24th and N). I pass the pentagon and cross memorial bridge. I can drop off at the pentagon if I have to. I leave about 8:00am. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

It depends on where you live, when you leave and what is easiest for you. There are slug lines at the Rolling Valley Mall commuter lot and "Bob's" (accross Old Keene Mill Road from Springield Plaza) that go either up 18th St. or 23rd/21st St corridors, which should be good if you are going to 24th and N. Just say how far you are going and pick up anyone who wants to go along one of those two corridors toward your destination. Then drop them when the need to get out, since not that many go as far as N St. Times for these vary, but there are people going that way both early (6:00-7:30) and late (7:30-8:40). If it is easier for you to go to another pick-up point like Daventry or Cardinal Forest (by Shell Station on south side of OKM just after Rolling Rd.) you will find people that mostly want the Pentagon. Again, times vary pretty widely and there are sluggers throughout the morning. Although you have to go out of your way a bit to stop at the Pentagon, it is usually a short detour.
