I'm moving to Fairlakes, Fairfax in mid-June and will be commuting to 4000 N. Arlington Blvd. (Foreign Service Institute of State Department). Any suggestions

Is there an Orange Line stop where you are going to?

Yes, I'll be commuting from the Vienna metro stop to the Ballston metro stop if I take just metro.

addendum: I am trying to figure out what combo of driving/metro works but am unfamiliar with the area.

I travel to the Pentagon so I really don't know where FSI is located but is FSI within walking distance from Ballston?

Yes, it is about 1.2 miles, which is fine for me. I don't know how pedestrian-friendly the road is though.
