Trying to slug from Rt 3 Fredericksburg to Old Towne Alexandria, do I just show up and get in a car going to Crystal City then take metro?
I work from 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. and my concern is getting stuck without a ride to or from work. Any advice is greatly appreciated as I just need a litle more confidence. |

I don't know much about Route 3, but as long as there is a Crystal City line there, what you suggest is probably the best.
Since Pentagon isn't too much further away, if there isn't a Crystal City line at Route 3, that will be just as easy, I think. Also, in the evenings on the way home, I would suggest trying both Pentagon and Crystal City to see which ends up being better for you. The Crystal City line is definitely not as active as the Pentagon line, which may make you more likely to get a ride home from the Pentagon. Plus, the line isn't super close to the metro in CC. I hope this helps. |

Thanks, I'm gonna give it a try tomorrow and you're right, going the Pentagon way should be more solid.
