What are the rules/etiquette for slugs leaving bags, backpacks, or other items in the slug line to save their spot in line? This can be very rude, disrespectful, and frustrating to other slugs in line, especially when the line is moving. And what suggestions are there to handle someone who does this and/or then tries to cut in front of others because the line has moved on without them but they still feel entitled to their bag-held spot?

This "discussion" happens every year, with no end result I'm afraid.
