Warning for Crystal City Sluggers

   I received the following information/warning from a slug regarding the Crystal Gateway North slug line. I will try to research this with Arlington County however, in the meantime read this:

	If you slug from Crystal Gateway North, a site created by need after 9/11, please note that the Arlington Police are now ticketing those who pause at this site to pick up slugs.  I know this because I got a $40 ticket this afternoon. 

	The Officer got out of his unmarked car, stopped in front of my car, wrote me the ticket and simply said "this is a no parking space, here's your ticket, you need to move your car".  Needless to say, other sluggers saw that, and simply drove on past the spot.   

	My guess is that somebody complained, because this site was working just fine, with very little traffic congestion.

	You may want to fight it (although, for $40, it hardly seems worth it). Unless there's a plainly visible "No stopping or standing" sign, I don't really understand how you could be ticketed. You weren't parking, as you never left your car. I wonder if this is the same overzealous Arlington officer that was hassling the Rosslyn line a while back... - Eric.
