Ticketing on 14th, Commerce and Pennsylvania

   Drivers beware!!! If picking up slugs on the corner of the Commerce Dept. and Pennsylvania Ave. in the afternoon, last Thursday and Friday I experienced a couple of overzealous, harrasing officers who refused to give me a couple of minutes to wait for slugs and then threatened to ticket me if I didn't circle around and therefore lose my place in line. They waved the cars forward and yelled at anyone who slowly idled forward in the hopes of a slug appearing. DCMPD and DDOT couldn't have chosen a worse time to crackdown on VA commuters. The adjacent two southbound lanes were wide open with no traffic, very likely a result of the government shutdown.
