It's ironic, that for quite sometime, approximately 6 months, I have been unable to slug, because I was working in Dulles....Now that I work in DC again, and have returned to slugging, I find it ironic how much people complain. I just read messages crying about wet bags, excess speed, poor taste in music, etc.....Newsflash!
Drive to Dulles......Then you'll really have something to complain about. Otherwise, please, please, deal with your issues by yourself. Let's continue to pass along safety related issues, and good slugging advice. But nobody cares if your upholstery gets dirty, mine gets dirty too. And nobody cares if you had to walk an extra block....For the love of God.....Shut it..... |

Dhacim...welcome back. To what, Im not sure. How quickly things change. Maybe its just the bad weather. Dont have to love the people - but love the slugging way of getting to work. We are a fairly lucky bunch.

THANK YOU DHACIM!!!!
I was commuting from Quantico to the Dulles area five days a week. There REALLY is no worse commute ... unless of course you are coming from South of Quantico. Thankfully, now I work from home 4 days a week and only go in once ... if that. AND very soon, we'll be PCS-ing. After doing this commute for almost two years, I can't imagine I'll ever complain about ANY future commuting situation I encounter. I'll always think back to those days that it took me four hours to get home. ScarletLSG |

Scarlett, I envy your new telecommuting situation, and I wouldn't wish the Tysons/Dulles commute on anyone. Occasionally I have an early meeting in Herndon, and I dread those days. Rt 28 is impossible, and the back way through Clifton, while prettier, is not much faster. Good luck in your new location.

I agree. As a driver, I am so worried that sluggs are watching every thing I do, and there will be some complaint on here, hopefully nothing has been said so far....

And hey, next time my head is slumped over, I'm drooling on my shirt, and I'm making this loud ZZZZZzzzzzz sound, remember, I'm just faking sleep. I'm really using the mini camera stored in the stone on my Canoe U ring to record your every move. I'd tell you to watch it, but you don't have to. We're already doing this for you! Bwahahahahaha! |

I drove a woman home yesterday that had the worst cough I have ever heard. I'm sure that my passenger side window has a layer of lung butter about an inch thick on it....Oh and I rode to work this morning in a car that didn't smell too hot...AND....I Loved it!! Got to work in 40 minutes...ahhhhhhh.......FREE!

Dan,
You really don't have to be like that. What I meant that maybe it's too hot in the car, or I'm going too fast, or not fast enough. There are a lot of comments/complaints. So...my aim for riders to be comfortable is a bad thing right? |
