Hi drivers/riders, I am new to slugging and wanted to know if anybody knows what time the Potomac Mills and Horner Road parking lots fill. I was catching the bus and both lots always look full by 7:30am. I have been lucky so far in August but I am quite sure after Labor Day that will change. I am using looking for parking by 7:30am.

It seems most days you can find parking at Potomac Mills before 7:30am - in fact, I slug even later in the morning and can sometimes find a spot as late as 8:30am, though it's iffy at that time. But like you said, that will change once summer ends. When I can't find a spot, I try to sneak regular mall parking without letting security catch me, but I don't recommend that either! [;)]
Not sure about Horner, but I hear that also fills early. Sorry I can't be of any more help! |

Hi Shorty5646, what is a good for getting a ride at Potomac Mills, or do you know when the drivers stop coming by for passengers. I know early times are probably not a problem, but I would be arriving about 7:15am.

Well, I typically get to the lot around 8:30am, which is pretty late and usually, I don't have any trouble finding a ride fairly quickly - even if I have to go somewhere in DC other than my final destination and take the metro.
That said, I think 7:15am should not be a problem at all for finding a ride. The only issue is parking, since there are only 900 or so spaces. Good luck! |
