Woodbridge VRE to Metro Center

Has there ever been an effort to start a slug line at the Woodbridge VRE to points north?  It seems there should be for anyone who either misses the train or want to slug in the morning and take the train home.  I am a driver and looking for riders to go downtown but want to avoid going to Hechinger lot.
