Route 17 to L'Enfant Plaza slugging

   Do people pick up slugs at the Route 17 commuter lot (West of 95), going to L'Enfant Plaza in DC? Just moved to Fredericksburg, trying to figure this out. The VRE train is expensive and takes forever.

	I am a sometimes user of the rte 17 slug line (I actually take VRE most days). I have had luck slugging to L'Enfant Plaza in the AM from the Rte 17 VDOT lot, but it is a bit hit or miss (at least at 6 in the AM). If you are flexible, though, you can slug to the Pentagon and take a short Metro to L'Enfant or try for a 14th Street slug (and sometimes Navy Yard people will take you close to L'Enfant too). The drawback is that there is no PICKUP from L'Enfant in the evening (despite what this web site says). You MUST Metro to Pentagon to get home - pretty quick to get there on Metro, but just annoying somehow.

	Different question. How LATE in the AM can I hope to get a ride from Rte 17 (preferably to L'Enfant, but as described above, I'll go anywhere). Is 7:30 starting to get risky or do L'Enfant rides actually pick up by then?
