I am not sure if you are a rider or a driver. If you are a driver, the most effective way to get a rider is to go to the Herndon Monroe Park & Ride and pull up opposite of the 950 & 980 Fairfax Connector buses. Hold up your destination sign for Union Station so that the people standing in the bus line can see it and there will always be one person who is willing to hope out of line for a ride. Sometimes, there are already riders ready and waiting for a ride. You might have to go to a slightly different desination besides Union Station. I am not familiar with all the DC drop offs but there might be one that is close to Union Station that you can drop people off at. Click on the 'morning slug lines' link on the main page of this website for more drop off points. If you are a rider, then stand with your destination sign on the sidewalk across from the 950/980 buses and wait for your ride. Most of the drivers may/may not be going right to Union Station but close by. If you are a rider, I would be prepared with an alternate way to get to work. When I slugged out of H&M, some days the drivers were scarce. Merlin |
